This course does not cover stocks or bonds. Larry briefly mentions options, but the course focuses on futures trading in commodities.

During this time, you may write, call, or fax Mr. Williams’s office with any special questions you might have. If your paper trading does not produce net profits in three months (even counting the cost of the course), simply return all course materials and your paper-trading records by the end of the fourth month, and you’ll get 100% of your money back, no questions asked."

Paper trades are trades people keep track of on paper. Students only pretend to invest so much money in a commodity and then keep track of it to determine if they made or lost money. No money is actually invested with paper trades, making them a risk-free learning tool.

How much money do I need to start investing?
A minimum of $1,000 - $3,000 is often necessary to set up an account. However, some brokerage firms recommend more.

British American is just the marketing firm for Larry Williams and we do not manage accounts. Larry recommends several brokerages that are very familiar with his methods. These recommended brokerages are found in the course materials. Larry does not manage other people’s accounts.

What newspaper should I use to check my commodities?
Any newspaper that carries commodities should work. We recommend the Wall Street Journal or Investor’s Business Daily. The Wall Street Journal is available online and Investors’ Business Daily has a website that offers 2 weeks for free.

Can I start trading before my three months is up?
We don’t recommend that people trade until they have paper traded for at least 3 months and fully understand the concepts in the Money Tree Course. However, we believe that you are the best person to determine this.
